San Juan Islands Orca Photography Tour

The San Juan archipelago contains 457 islands spread across 750 square miles of Pacific waters. Only about 200 islands are named, and even fewer are inhabited, making this a remote and peaceful place to visit. With bucolic San Juan Island as your launching point, you will take a boating tour each day, finding and photographing orca whales in their natural habitat.

This area is a Mecca for whale watchers of all stripes, but we will spend most of the day on the water, so you better like boat rides!  I will ensure that you get the best shots and travel with the best company and most knowledgeable captain. Each night I will review your photos to help you better prepare for the next day’s shoot. Working with the captain on your private tour, I will find spots with the best light, the highest chance of seeing ocean wildlife, and the best conditions for your shoot.
