Mount Assiniboine Provincial Park Pictures, Photos, Photography

Mount Assiniboine Provincial Park is located southwest of Banff National Park. At 11,870 ft (3,618 m), it is the highest peak in the Southern Canadian Rockies. Due to Mount Assiniboine's pyramidal shape, it has been unofficially named the "Matterhorn" of North America. Mount Assiniboine rises nearly 5,003 ft (1,525 m) above Lake Magog.

Mount Assiniboine is best photographed in the fall at sunrise when the larch trees turn a brilliant golden yellow.
